Maarja Lall holistic therapy
About

Hi, my name is Maarja. I am a therapist working 1-1 with people, and in small group setting in my new course: Building Emotional Resilience.

I was born and raised in Estonia. For a third of my life, I lived abroad and I’ve just recently returned to Estonia to re-connect with my roots. My interests since childhood have revolved around psychology. I was and still am - with more structure, but with same level of curiosity - interested in what people tend to do, what is behind their actions, where it all comes from, how it all connects and what can be done, if we experience suffering. And then of course, how to move forward towards something that we deeply want to experience. I have spent a lot of time in my adult life on these questions, it’s fascinating and there is always more to learn.

Throughout my career, I've embraced a holistic approach, combining both traditional and alternative methods to psychological health. I am a mind-body practitioner, which simply means that since our body is interconnected to our mind and vice versa, we need to consider how different systems within us connect and resonate. Many times, when it comes to trauma, our bodies hold valuable information and can help us release old or stuck patterns. Sometimes we do need to work on the cognitive level, but much of the time, we need to also drop into emotions, or even deeper, the nervous system, in order to see what needs to be worked with to restore more coherence and health.

My background is in psychology, somatic psychology, SE and intuitive development. I always work with the client, and I see the process we go through as one of co-operation, where I am supporting the natural impulse towards well-being. I believe whatever in life is stuck, causing pain or in resistance, it's all workable, there is a way towards a more meaningful, connected and loving everyday experience. There is a potential for resolution and healing, feeling more in touch with ourselves. In my work, beneath all the reasons why someone would come to me, I am dedicated to creating acceptance and freedom to be ourselves and to live from that space.
